In the early 90’s I  studied with the great Gerry Carboy. I had no idea I would walk away a completely changed guitarist ready for the myriad challenges I would face as a freelance player in the toughest scene in the world: New York City. Many facets of Gerry’s approach contributed to my readiness and success, but it all comes back to one central approach: 7-Tone.
