Rick Toone’s Sketch in My Hands

On Friday Dec.16th I was on a gig in New Hope, PA with Rodney Holmes (see post below) as a member of his new band Lithium Tree. Rick Toone was in the house with Sketch – a prototype axe built for Tosin Abasi/Animal As Leaders. I had a chance to play the axe for most of the second set where I was blown away. On Dec. 16th I’ll be playing at the Triumph Brewing Co. of New Hope in New Hope, PA with Rodney Holmes’ Lithium Tree. Starting at 10:00pm I’ll once again throw down with Rodney, Ken Dow and Jim Kost for a set of hybrid electronica-dance/rock. Made the Cover of The Two River Times!

On April 10th I dropped in on the 14th annual Brookdale Guitar Show with a set of Jeff Beck tunes as well as two clinics based on my TrueFire courses Blues Progressions and Blues Soloing. The Two River Times was in the house and made a nice mention of the Beck set in an article covering the show. Thanks to Uncle Mike for the good words and Scott Longfield for the images!

Here’s a short Q&A I did for Novation on their very cool Ableton-centric MIDI controller, the Launchad.

This is a great unit and should be on everyone’s list of gadgets for their live and studio setups.
