Speaking of my own devices, my latest for Guitar Player Magazine (Feb. 2022) is a lesson article on the elusive G-B string pair and the havoc standard tuning creates. In the piece I outline how I expanded on a brilliant idea I read back in the mid-90’s in the now defunct Guitar for Practicing Musician written by the legendary Berklee Professor Jon Finn. This one come straight from my core as I started out playing simple rock licks like these on the edge of my bed watching cartoons after school.
