Sheer Velocity as well as Blacksugar Transmission is Andee Blacksugar. Andee is my friend and he plays guitar fantastically. He’s also one of the more prolific independent artists out there while holding down the guitar chair with guys like Peter Murphy and the KMFDM crew. He has my respect and my enthusiastic “yes” any time he wants me to play on one of his insanely fun projects. Like this one…

By My Quarantine

This track came at a perfect time. I’m in a Steve Vai state of mind with my Guitarinstructor.com gig and this tune has got nods to the Little Italian Virtuoso all over it. Andee kindly gave me a solo section with no restrictions. So I laid down a bed track with some delay pads. The phaser is a Chase Bliss Wombtone MkII into a Boss DD-7, which is preceded by this rad mini volume pedal made by Moyo. The solo is my trusty Z.Vex Fuzz Factory into a DigiTech Ricochet and that same DD-7. Both takes are live and unedited.
